Amateur radio offers a wide range of interests and activities. Our club members learn from and teach each other as well as learning from experts from around the state. We hold club meetings as well as fun events focused on learning more about the various aspects of our hobby.
We provide communications support to community events throughout the year including the 6 Gap Century Bike Ride and the Georgia Death Race ultra-marathon.
Through the Amateur Radio Emergency Service - ARES - we train and practice to support emergency management with auxiliary communications. We report on weather or other hazardous conditions as well as provide equipment and operators should other communications fail.
